Wow! It's been over a year. I've been exercising, and not losing weight, and decided to Atkin-ize again.

So, I've been eating as close to zero carbs as possible, and the weight is coming off.

When I weighed myself yesterday (before doing weight training) I weighed 266.8. It's a start.

15 December

Weight: 289.6 pounds. Oops. Why did it go up so much?

Lat Pulldown: 50 pounds, 3 repetitions of 12

Overhead press: 20 pounds, 3 repetitions -->> 12/10/5.

Holding arms out at shoulder height. Six repetitions: Left arm 30 seconds each (goto 35 next time). Right arm 60 seconds each (goto 65 next time).

Monday, 13 December

Weight: 285.8 pounds

Treadmill 30 minutes @ 3.0 mph @ variable incline to maintain 137 bpm. Ended at 4.3 degrees incline

Lat Pulldown: 35 pounds, 3 repetitions of 12

Overhead press: 35 pounds, 3 repetitions -->> 12/4/4. Maybe I'll drop down to 20 pounds next time.

Since my left shoulder is hurting, I attempted to hold my arm out at shoulder height for ten seconds. I was able to do it six times before the pain was too much.

Almost 54 and beginning to exercise again

So, I've signed up for a fitness program at work. It allows me to use up to three hours per week working out in the gym. I've told three people that I will start exercising today.

And I did.

Weight: 287

30 minutes on the treadmill with heart rate between 136 and 140. 3.0 mph and ending at a 0.5 degree incline. The incline got to 2.5 degrees, but then my heart rate went above 140. So, I had to drop the incline minute by minute.

3 sets of twelve pull-downs with 35 pounds

Did not finish 3 sets of 12 vertical lifts with the lowest rate. My shoulders, hands and elbows were hurting too much.
